Your classmate Mara belongs to a culture where women are not encouraged to go to college or have careers. They are expected to marry young and raise children. Mara wants to be a “proper” person and honor her culture, but she also really wants to be a physician. Explain Mara’s dilemma using the terms and concepts of social behavior.
