Explanation:

M is the gradient i.e. How many squares up divided by how many squares across. You have 2 squares across and 1 up. Meaning 2 / 1 = 0.5

The +c bit is called the y-intercept or where the line crosses the x-axis. In the graph above it appears to be 4 squares above the x axis or (0,4) meaning your c value is 4.


y = mx + c \\ y = 0.5x + 4
