One angle of a triangle measures 35°. A second angle measures (3x)°, and the third angle measures 2x - 20)°. what is the value of x?

x = 33

Explanation:

Sum of the angles in a triangle is 180 so,

35 + 3x + 2x - 20 = 180

35 + 5x - 20 = 180

15 + 5x = 180

5x = 180 - 15

x = 165/5

x = 33
