Answer:

30

Explanation:

first you find the area of the rectangle the formula is A=wl

A=6*4=24

Then find the area of the triangle the formula is A =h b/2

A=4 3/2

6

the base is 3 because the whole bottom is 9 but the base of the square is 6 and so 9-6=3

now add them together

24+6=30

Answer:

30 yd²

Explanation:

Hello There!

The shown figure is a trapezoid

The first thing we need to do is figure out what the formula for area of a trapezoid is

A=(a+b)/(2) h

where a and b = bases and h = height

we are given all of the dimensions so all we have to do is plug in the values

a = 9

b = 6

h = 4

A = (6+9)/(2) 4\\6+9=15\\(15)/(2) =7.5\\7.5*4=30

so we can conclude that the area of the figure is

30 yd²
