The angle of declination is
50^(\circ)

Earthworm is
7\ m away from the base of the tree

Suppose h is the height of the tree

from the figure, we can write


\Rightarrow \tan 50^(\circ)=(h)/(7)\\\\\Rightarrow h=7\tan 50^(\circ)=8.3\ m
