Which sentences from “The Bridge” most relate to the theme that one’s background often has an impact on one’s beliefs?

What I mean is, they don’t get me. If they tried for a hundred million years, they couldn’t begin to comprehend my feelings and my dreams.
This isn’t because they’re insensitive, you understand, but because they didn’t grow up here. They grew up on the other side of the globe, in India.
You’d think my parents would have some understanding of how much I love music, wouldn’t you? They think music is just something extra in my life.
