Explanation:

Let there are s sodas and h hot dogs.

The number of sodas sold was three times the number of hot dogs sold.

ATQ,

s+h = 200 ...(1)

s = 3h ...(2)

Put the value of s in equation (1).

3h +h = 200

4h = 200

h = 50

Put the value of h in equation (2).

s = 3(50)

s = 150

Hence, there are 50 hot dogs and 150 sodas.
