Two tubes A & B were set up as shown above. Both tubes were left indoors for 50 minutes and then taken outdoors for another 50 minutes. The tubes were weighed every 10 minutes. The table shows the results obtained.​

Step-by-step explanation:

Question A

Evaporation happens because fast moving molecules break out of the surface of the water. The fact that there is part of a plant in the water means that the water travels up to the leaves where it evaporates. There are two sources of evaporation in test tube A and only one in B.

Question B

The Cotton plug in the top of the test tubes slows the process down. There are still molecules that are escaping but the cotton absorbs them especially in test tube B. The molecules are free to go in test tube A. They make their way to the leaves where they evaporate.

Part C

You'll have to do the rest of this yourself. The graph for Test Tube A should be less (closer to the x axis) than B.
