Find:

Acc. to the formula

Mean=a+b+c+d/4

i.e., a+b+c+d/4=9

a+b+c+d=9*4

a+b+c+d=36 (eq.1)

Median = (b+c)/2

i.e., (b+c)/2=8

(b+c)=16 (eq.2)

According to eq.1 & eq.2

a+d=20 (eq.3)

d-a=6 (eq.4)

by adding eq.3 & eq.4

2d=26

i.e., d=13

that makes a= 7

Now there are two possibilities i.e., 7,7,9,13 or 7,9,7,13
