Answer:

Faisalabad is a Metropolis in Punjab, Pakistan. Its former name is Lyallpur, and was renamed to Faisalabad in the year of 1979. Sir Charles James Lyall, the Punjab's lieutenant governor, at the time, was honored when the city was formed in 1890 by having his name used.

As said, the city of Lyallpur was formed in 1890, and later renamed to Faisalabad.

The city is located in the province of Punjab, which is in the eastern region of Pakisan. Punjab is bordered by the multiple other Indian states/ provinces.

Hope this helps.
