Carlos is buying movie tickets for a group. He wants to have at least 20 tickets and spend no more than $300.

Adult tickets cost $15 and child tickets cost $8. Write a system of inequalities that can be used to find the number of each type of ticket Carlos could buy?

Answer: hope this helps ♡

13 Adults = $210

11 Children = $88

Explanation:

x = Adults

y = Children

x + y ≥ 20

$15x + $8 ≤ $300

let's take 13 adults and 11 children

14 + 11 ≥ 20 $15*14 + $8*11 ≤ $300

= 25 ≥ 20 ✓ = $210 + $88 ≤ $300

= $298 ≤ $300 ✓
