HELP!! Find (ƒ – g)(x) if f(x) = 4x² – 5x and g(x) = 3x² + 6x − 4.

-
○ (ƒ − g)(x) = −x² + 11x − 4
○ (ƒ − g)(x) = −x² — x^4
○ (ƒ − g)(x) = 7x² + x − 4
○ (ƒ − g)(x) = x² − 11x +4

○ (ƒ − g)(x) = x² − 11x +4 is the correct Answer

Answer:

ƒ(x) = 4x² – 5

g(x) = 3x² + 6x − 4.

(ƒ – g)(x) = ƒ(x)–g(x)

= 4x² – 5 –(3x² + 6x − 4)

= 4x²–5x –3x²–6x+4

= 4x²–3x² –5x–6x +4

= x² − 11x +4
