Later, he borrowed his friend Jay's car and drove to the library to meet with a friend. Furthermore, Adnan claims that he left Hae at the Best Buy and never saw her again. He says that he spent the rest of the afternoon at the library and then went to a nearby mosque for evening prayers. However, the prosecution argues that Adnan killed Hae in the afternoon and then disposed of her body in a nearby park. They claim that he used Jay's car to do so, and that Jay helped him cover up the crime. Ultimately, Adnan was arrested and charged with Hae's murder.
