Given line:

  • y = - 1/2x - 3

Plot two points and connect.

One point is the y-intercept:

  • x = 0 ⇒ y = - 3, the point is (0, - 3)

Another point with an even value of x as its slope is a fraction with denominator of 2:

  • x = 6 ⇒ y = - 1/2*6 - 3 = - 3 - 3 = - 6, the point is (6, - 6)

Plot these two points and connect.
