The 2 pound can of coffee will sell for better you know this because if you do 2÷3.38 you get $.59 per pound whereas if you get the 5 pound can you get The equation 5÷8.50 which gives you 58.8 cents per pound that is a better deal than the $.59 per pound sauce meaning the 2 pound can is better

Answer:

Explanation:

Two pounds

2 pounds of coffee sells for $3.38

1 pound of coffee sells for 3.38 / 2 = $1.69

Five Pounds

5 pounds of the same coffee sells for $8.50

1 pound of the same coffee sells for $8.50 /5 = 1.70

By a very narrow margin, the 2 pounds of coffee is the better buy.

You would rather pay 1.69 for a pound of something, when your only other choice is 1.70 for the same thing.
