Answer:

5x+3y=-1. A

6x-5y=16. B

3y=-5x-1

y=-5x/3 -1/3. C

sub C in B

6x-5(-5x/3 -1/3)=16

simplify:

6x+25x/3+5/3=16

Like terms

43x/3=43/3

cross multiply

129=129x

divide both sides by 129

X=1

sub X value in C

y=-5(1)/3 -1/3

y=-2.
