Using four or more complete sentences, examine the achievements and leadership qualities of Abraham Lincoln
Answer- Abraham Lincoln was president during the Civil War, one of the most difficult periods in American history. Despite the divisions between the North and South (the Union and the Confederacy) Abraham Lincoln’s goal remained the same throughout: the preservation of the Union. It was this dedication, along with his commitment to the emancipation of all slaves, that eventually resulted in a unified nation free of slavery. His strong leadership eventually led to the 13th Amendment, banning slavery in the United States. President Lincoln’s power and conviction are evident in his two most famous speeches, the Emancipation Proclamation and the Gettysburg Address.
