Final Narrative Submission

As we end our study of narrative, we will complete our own narrative writing piece. You will use all of the skills we have practiced over the last two months to develop a complete and engaging story. As you prepare you should evaluate your understanding of plot, character, and figurative language. This assignment will serve as your third summative of the quarter.

Task:

Write a story in which a character receives $10,000 in the mail without knowing who sent it. What happens next?

Make sure your story has a clear beginning, middle, and end. This is created through your plot sequence (Exposition, conflict, rising action, climax, and resolution.)

Answer:

Exposition: Molly's working at the mall as a cashier for JC Penny to make money to cover her bills.

Conflict: Molly will be kicked out of her apartment if she can't pay her bills.

Rising action: A red envelope suddenly appeared on the counter with Molly's name on it. Molly was freaking out about how the person who put it on the counter knows her name.

Climax: Molly opened the envelope and saw money in the envelope. Molly assumed that it was one of her coworkers who gave her the envelope. She went around asking her coworkers about it but no one seems to know who it was from.

Resolution: She asked the manager to check the security cameras and the manager allowed her to. She checked it and realized that it was actually the manager who sent it. She turned around to look at the manager and the manager smiled. Molly asked why and the manager said that she knew that Molly was struggling with paying her bills and that Molly had been working really hard like Molly was working overtime with little breaks. Molly cried and hugged the managers.

Step-by-step explanation:

Just develop the story and add figurative language. Imagery helps a lot. Okay, bye!!!
