What is the perimeter of a rectangle with a length of Eight and one-sixth feet and a width of Six and two-thirds feet?

Answer: Twenty-Nine and Four-Sixths feet

Explanation:

Perimeter is the sum of all sides.

So we just add 8 1/6 + 8 1/6 + 6 2/3 + 6 2/3

but before we can add them up we need to make our fractions have the same denominators

so we multiply the 2/3 by 2 to give us 4/6 then we can add the fractions together

1/6 + 1/6 + 4/6 + 4/6 = 10/6 or 1 4/6

then add 8 + 8 + 6 + 6 + 1 4/6 = 29 4/6 feet
