One antifreeze solution is 41% alcohol and another is 11% alcohol. How much of each mixture should be added to make 30 L of a solution that is 29% alcohol?

41x + 11(30 -x ) = 29(30)

41x + 330 -11x = 875 Combine like terms

30x +330 = 875 Subtract 330 from both sides

30x = 540 Dived both sides by 30

x = 18

30 - 18 = 12
