Answer:

a) black line, y= 3x+2 blue line, y=-3x+8

b) the coordinates at which the two graphs intersect. That is (1 , 5)

c) Substituting the two equations then finding the respective values

Explanation:

c) y=y

or,3x+2=-3x+8

or, 3x+3x= 8-2

or, 6x= 6

∴ x= 1

Now, substitute the value of x in either of the equations, both will output the same value for y.

y= 3x+2

= 3×1 +2

= 5

intersecting point( 1 , 5)
