2. A teachers bought 32 notebooks, 72 pencils, and 24 erasers to make identical packages for his students. He used everything that he bought and each student got 1 package. what is the greatest number of students in this class? if the class is this large, how many notebooks, pencils, & erasers did everyone get?

1: 64 = 2 x 32

2 x 16

2 x 8

2 x 4

2 x 2 =
2^(6)

2: 24 32 72

12 16 24

6 8 12

3 erasers, 4 notebooks, 8 pencils

You divided the original amount by 8 for each, so 8 students.

I think both of these are right, this should help.
