Answer:
30 or -90
Explanation:
cot²x + cscx =1
But; 1+cot²x=csc²x (trigonometric identity)
hence cot²x=csc²x -1
(csc²x -1)+cscx=1
csc²x + cscx -1-1=0
csc²x + cscx - 2=0
let M=cscx
M²+M-2=0
M²+M-2M-2=0
(M-2)(M+1)=0
M=2 or M=-1
when M= 2
cscx=2
1/sinx = 2
2sinx =1
sinx=1/2
x=30°
when M= -1
cscx= -1
1/sinx = -1
sinx= -1
x=-90 (it's negative because the sine inverse of a number produces a negative angle)
