Kayla wants to represent "18 divided by the sum of 3 and 3". She writes 8/(3x3) . Is Kayla's expression correct? Explain using complete sentences.

no it is not correct. 18 divided by the sum of 3 and 3 equals 18 ÷ (3+3)

"sum of 3 and 3 " means 3+3 therefore 8/(3x3) = 8/9 and is completely different from the equation desired to be represented.
