therefore:

RT/ST = YZ/SZ

(3x-7)/40 = (2x+2)/35

cross-multiply:

40(2x+2) = 35(3x-7)

80x+80 = 105x-245

80 = 25x-245

325 = 25x

325/25 = x

x = 13
