You're looking at a trigonometric problem. You are given an angle and the opposite side. In that case, you have the Sine Ratio of this triangle. The sine is the opposite side divided by the hypotenuse.

You need a calculator for the following. Use the "sin" key and then you should be able to type the value of the angle. If done properly, you usually get a pretty long decimal number. For example:


sin(35)=0.57357643...

If that's true and sin = o/h is also true:


\frac oh=0.57357643...\\\frac4h=0.574\\\frac4hh=0.574h\\4=0.574h\\\frac4{0.574}=(0.574h)/(0.574)\\h=6.974

So, the hypotenuse is ~6.974 units long.
