We know that the two angles are equal, so we can set the two equations for the angles equal to each other and solve for
x:


3x - 6 = 2x + 8

Let's move the terms with
x in them to the left side and the constants (just numbers) to the right side of the equation.


3x - 2x = 8 + 6


x = 14
