Answer:

1,536 bolts in the collection

Explanation:

If we need 30 pounds and there are 16 ounces in a pound then we can multiply 30 by 16 to find how many ounces are in 30 pounds.

30×16 = 480 ounces in 30 pounds.

If 1 bolt is 5/16 ounces and we need 180 ounces we can divide 180 by 5/16 to find how many bolts are in the collection. The situation can aso be expressed with an expression. (x=number of bolts)

5/16x=480

Divide 5/16 from both sides.

(480)/(1) ÷
(5)/(16) =
(480)/(1) ×
(16)/(5) =
(7680)/(5) =
(1536)/(1)=

1536 bolts in the collection
