Answer:

480 in³

Explanation:

Volume of a right rectangular prism = width x length x height

Let a = right rectangular prism with dimensions 8 x 4 x 2 in

Let b = right rectangular prism with dimensions 6 x 2 x 24 in

⇒ volume a = 4 x 8 x 2 = 64 in³

⇒ volume b = 6 x 24 x 2 = 288 in³

⇒ total volume = 3a + b

Substituting found values for a and b:

⇒ total volume = 3(64) + 288

= 192 + 288

= 480 in³
