Use the slope formula: s=(y2-y1)/(x2-x1)

It doesn't matter the order.

Let's say -6 is x2 and 8 is y2; 3 is x1 and -7 is y1

Plug in the equation: s=[(8)-(-7)]/[(-6)-(3)]

Simplify and solve: s=[8+7]/[-9]

s = -15/9

s = -5/3
