since the triangles are similar then the ratios of corresponding sides are in proportion, that is


(LM)/(QM) =
(LN)/(QP) ( substitute values )


(LM)/(12) =
(15)/(10) ( cross- multiply )

10 LM = 180 ( divide both sides by 10 )

LM = 18
