A factory is defined as a building, or a group of buildings wherein goods are manufactured through a machine and the industry is defined as the branch of economics wherein raw materials, goods, and services are produced.

A factory is a location or a site that undertakes the business procedures.Different types of factories include job shops, metal, electronics, petroleum, chemicals, etc.
