Riley wants to find the smallest of the fractions One-sixth, Eleven-twelfths, Five-sixths, and Ten-twelfths. She uses 0 and 1 as benchmarks. Which fraction is closest to 0?

Answer: 1/6

Step-by-step explanation: Make all of the denominators the same. The least common multiple of 6 and 12 is 12. 1/6 gets multiplied by 2/2 to the equivalent fraction 2/12. 11/12 stays the same. 5/6 is multiplied by 2/2 to get 10/12. 10/12 stays the same. 1/6 is the smallest fraction so it is the closest to 0.
