You would plug the ordered pairs into the equation y2-y1/x2-x1.
5. -5-3/3-1 -8/2 = slope of -4
6. -1-1/6-1 = slope of -2/5
7. -1-14/6-(-12) -15/18 = slope of -5/6
8. 0-(-2)/4-4 2/0 = slope of 2
9. An equation parallel to y=3x+6 needs to have the same slope but different y-intercept. A possibility could be that the y-intercept is 0. So the equation could be y=3x.
