We are given the following expression

-2a-(-7.3b-7)

We are asked to write an equivalent expression by distributing the "-" sign outside the parentheses.

The two terms inside the parentheses has a negative sign.

If we take away the negative sign outside the parentheses then the two terms will become positive.

Also, note that the sign before the parentheses is negative therefore, negative multiplied with negative will result in positive.

So, we can write the expression as

\begin{gathered} -2a-(-7.3b-7) \\ -2a+(7.3b+7) \end{gathered}

We took away the negative sign from the parentheses and that negative sign got multiplied by the previous negative sign and become positive.
