To multiply a whole number by a mixed number multiply first the whole number for the whole part of the mixed number, then multiply the whole number by the fraction part of the mixed number:

Simplify it:

`5(5)/(2)=7(1)/(2)`

Then, as Clarice did the multiplication and get a wrong product (she doesn't multiply mixed number corretly) , she cannot verify her answer.
