Given two points on a line,we can find the rate of change with the following equation:

m=(y_2-y_1)/(x_2-x_1)

in this case, we have the following:

\begin{gathered} (x_1,y_1)=(3,5) \\ (x_2,y_2)=(-2,2) \\ \Rightarrow m=(2-5)/(-2-3)=(-3)/(-5)=(3)/(5) \\ m=(3)/(5) \end{gathered}

therefore, the rate of change is m = 3/5
