The area of a circular sector is given by:

A=(\theta\pi r^2)/(360)

Where:

θ = 170°

r = diameter/2 = 15/2 = 7.5 ft

π = 3.14

Substitute the values:

A=((170)(3.14)(7.5)^2)/(360)=((170)(3.14)(56.25))/(360)=(30026.25)/(360)=83.41

Therefore Chris is not correct.

Answer: Area = 83.41 ft^2
