First, we divide both sides of the equation by 5. This gives

(5|2x|)/(5)=(60)/(5)
|2x|=12

Now, | 2x | can be written as 2 |x| and therefore, the above becomes

2|x|=12

Dividing both sides by 2 gives

|x|=6

Now, there are two numbers that have an absolute value of 6 and they are x = 6 and x =-6.

Hence, the values of x are x = -6 and x = 6.
