We have three figures, solve each area and add them:

Area of a triangle = base x height / 2

A1 = (2.5 x 4 ) / 2 = 5 in2

A2 =A 1

A2 = 5 in2

Area of a rectangle = lenght x width

A3 = 6.2 x 5.5 = 34.1 in2

Total area : A1 + A2 + A3 = 5 + 5 + 34.1 = 44.1 in2
