For both vendors, we need to obtain the price for an ear of corn to determine which bag is a better deal.

For the first vendor, we can obtain the cost of an ear of corn by dividing the price by the ears of corn, as follows:

\begin{gathered} (2.56)/(8)=0.32 \\ 0.32\text{ per ear of corn} \end{gathered}

As for the second vendor, we need to do exactly the same calculation:

\begin{gathered} (4.32)/(12)=0.36 \\ 0.36\text{ per ear of corn} \end{gathered}

Therefore, the better deal is the bag being sold by the first vendor
