Answer: A linear equation follows a pattern where there is a specific change in y value for every change in x, the general form of the linear equation is as follows:

y(x)=mx+b\rightarrow(1)

Where the constant m and b are slope and y-Intercept.

m=(\Delta y)/(\Delta x)

The graph of the linear equation with m = 1 and b = 0 is as follows:

\begin{gathered} m=,b=0 \\ \\ \therefore\Rightarrow \\ \\ y(x)=x \end{gathered}

Note! For every change in x there is a fixed change in y.
