What would happen to human blood cells if they were placed in a salt water solution?

Make sure you are explaining using science based concepts.
DONT USE: Evaporation, Salt dries you up, Salt sucks the water up.

Red blood cells placed in a solution with a lower water concentration compared to their contents will lose water by osmosis and shrink. Water will diffuse from a higher water concentration inside the cell to a lower water concentration outside the cell.
