Hi!

If we multiply the top equation by (-2), then we can cancel out the y's.

-2(2x + 5y = 15)

-4x - 10y = -30

Now we add the second equation and our new equation together, and get:

x = 5

Now, we plug this in to one of the other equations

2(5) + 5y = 15

distribute

10 + 5y = 15

subtract 10 from both sides

5y = 5

divide both sides by 5

y = 1

Therefore, your answer is (5, 1)
