Step-by-step explanation:

exactly.

maybe this helps even more : always identify what is supposed to be 100% and what would be 1% then (1/100 of 100%). and then you check how often 1% fits into the amount in question.

100% = 25000

1% = 100%/100 = 25000/100 = 250

the price decrease is 25000 - 20000 = 5000.

so, the percentage is

difference /1% = 5000/250 = 20%

Answer: 20%

Step-by-step explanation:
We have to remember a percentage is something out of a total or original amount. In this case, the original price is 25,000.

Now we have to find out how much it decreased. 25,000 to 20,000 is a decrease of 5,000.

Now the percentage is the amount out of the total. This is 5,000 (decrease) out of 25,000 (original price)

5,000/25,000
5/25
20/100
.2 or 20%
