Step 1

Given; The area of a rectangle is given by a=6x^2y+4y^2x and the width of the rectangle is w=2xy. what is the length, l, of the rectangle if l=a/w?

Step 2

\begin{gathered} l=(a)/(w) \\ l=(6x^2y+4y^2x)/(2xy) \end{gathered}
\begin{gathered} factorize \\ l=(2xy\left(3x+2y\right))/(2xy) \end{gathered}

Thus;

l=3x+2y

Answer;

l=3x+2y
