8,12,18,27

The sequence above is a geometric series, therefore the formula for the common ratio(r) is


r=\frac{2ndterm}{First\text{ term}}=\frac{Thirdterm}{2nd\text{ term}}

Therefore,


\begin{gathered} r=(12)/(8)=(18)/(12) \\ r=(3)/(2)=(3)/(2) \end{gathered}

Hence, the answer is
