Therefore:


5=9-4=36/4-36/9.

Also, notice that:


3*8=24=12+12.

Therefore:


12=12+12-12=3*8-12.

Answer:


\begin{gathered} (36/4)-(36/9)=5, \\ (8*3)-12=12. \end{gathered}
