Answer:

x = 2, y = 4

Explanation:

First we isolate and solve for x

y = 6x-8

y= -3x+10

6x-8 = -3x + 10

9x-8 = 10

9x = 18

x=2

Now we solve for y by inserting x into one of the equations

y = -3(2)+10

y = -6 + 10

y = 4
