\begin{gathered} F(x)=x^2 \\ G(x)=3x+1 \end{gathered}

And we need to graph F-G

Step 1. Find the expression for F-G.

We subtract the expressions for F(x) and G(x):


F-G=x^2-(3x+1)

Simplifying this expression:


F-G=x^2-3x-1

Step 2. Graph the expression.
